AOTD: Scruffpuppie

Artist Of The Day goes to JJ Shurbet, better known as Scruffpuppie. He’s an 18 year old singer songwriter based out of Wisconsin who expresses powerful emotion through his music. I found him on YouTube a while back and have been keeping up with him ever since. Covering songs like “Creep” by radiohead, “Skinny Love” by bon iver and “I hate that you’re happy” by tiny little houses, his music is primarily indie/alternative inspired. He currently has one album on Spotify that consists of 9 songs, the most popular being “Affection”, a song that revolves around his troubles dealing with confusion and addiction. I’m super inspired by the music he creates and I love trying to channel the same energy and different stylistic choices he makes in his covers.
