Nacho Cano immigrated to San Diego from Mexico City when he was just ten years old. Coming into the states with no knowledge of the English language, Cano immersed himself in music, particularly hip-hop, to better educate himself. In 2012 he released his first album called I'm Sure, under the name 'Twin Cabins', before he changed to Harmless. The album is primarily chillwave with "the occasional playful saxophone." Five years later, Cano's life would never be the same. “On September 10th, 2017, as he was biking to work, an early morning drunk driver struck Cano, nearly ending his life and placing him in severe condition." But incredibly, after years of physical therapy, Cano was able to recover completely from his injuries. As he got back on his feet, he received a keyboard from one of his good friends, and with that, he went straight back into writing music. Cano has since released three albums and continues to incorporate new techniques and sounds into his material. It is amazing how powerful music can be, especially to someone like Nacho Cano who took music in as a way to learn and put it out as a way to express. (Click the pics to learn more)
